The United States' policy regarding Belarus
will not change significantly following the election of Barack Obama as
US president, Belarusian political expert Vital Silitski projected.
 "One
should remember that the Belarus Democracy Act, adopted in 2004, was
lobbied for by two senators – John McCain and Joe Biden, who was named
a US vice president," Mr. Silitski said.
"Obama and McCain share approaches to Belarus, that
is why no changes will be made to the US policy regarding Belarus at
least at the initial stage," he said. "Enterprises were trading with
the USA under Bush and, I think, they will continue doing that under
Obama. Obama did not make any statements about Belarus, but those by
Joe Biden are quite sufficient."

It would be much more interesting to familiarise with results
of meetings of the representative who has arrived to Minsk of
Eurocommission Hjugo Mingarelli with Natalia Petkevich and Sergey
Martynovy, but it is necessary to be content with results of
conversation of the gendirrectorats assistant on external relations of Eurocommission with vice-premier Andrey Kojabkovym which has passed on November, 5th. Mingarelli

The president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko can be invited
in 2009 to one of the European Union summits in Bruxelles. On it
informs RIA Novosti news agency referring to the Belgian mass-media.
In
particular, such possibility was sounded in a press by the deputy
minister of foreign affairs of Czechia Thomas Pojar who has visited on
October, 24th Belarus with one-day working visit. As he said, the
management of Czechia to which France will transfer rotational
presidency in EU since January, 1st, 2009, considers a variant of
possible participation of the Belarus president in the summit of EU
which 27 plus 6 "— EU member states plus Georgia will pass in a
format", Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus.

In Minsk the control over illegal local networks which are established
with numerous technical infringements becomes tougher. Thus of regional
administrations assure, that total cuts of wires will not be – at first
representatives ZSK w ill find out, who posesses a network and where there are wires. According

At Russia is not present and there can not be more reliable and decent
partner in the west, than Belarus. It was declared by the Head of the
Belarus state Alexander Lukashenko on April, 29th at a meeting in Minsk
with the Minister of Defence of Russia Anatoly Serdjukovym. The
president has noticed, that creation by Belarus and Russia joint
regional grouping of armies speaks about much. "I think, as in the
